The Service
We look to support all Sacred Heart past pupils in every way we can. There has been an increased demand for support from girls who have suffered bereavement, separation, financial difficulties and illness. All outside their control. Everyday demands and just balancing the requirements of life today can create pressures for all of us.
To assist Past Pupils through a difficult time we can now offer some free counselling. Whatever life throws at you .... our support is there ... whenever you need it.
The counselling service can help with issues such as:

Family and relationship matters

Bereavement
This is a personal support programme that can greatly assist you to achieve a positive balance in life. The service gives unlimited access to a range of specialist support and information including:

Telephone support and counselling provided by qualified and experienced therapists

Up to six structured counselling sessions per person, per issue, per year (inclusive of face to face CBT).

Medical Information.

Legal and Financial information.

Eldercare and Childcare support.

Online help and advice– Issues such as: Alcohol/Drugs, Debt, Family Issues, Bereavement, Tax, Childcare and other Citizens Advice Bureau type advice.

A smartphone app, offering help and support in the palm of your hand - Unique content, mood trackers, breathing techniques. relevant support and preventative wellness programmes straight from your smart phone.
Who will know if I contact the service?
No one! The service is completely confidential and can be accessed via a free phone number and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service is available to past pupils and immediate family members residing at the same address.

If you would like to avail of the Counselling Services provided by The Benevolent Fund. We have signed up to an EAP ( Employment Assistance Programme) provided by Health Assured ( www.healthassured.org/ie/ )
They provide a support service to organisations in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
You (and any family members living in your home) can avail of up to 6 structured counselling sessions either online or face to face ( depending on availability and your location). They also offer legal & financial advise. In addition there is a phone helpline where you will get to talk to someone very quickly for a mini session if you need more urgent help.
As part of the Benevolent Fund you simply call 1800 936 071 and quote ‘Society of the Sacred Heart past pupils’. They will take your details and get you set up, matching you to a counsellor according to your requirements.
